Car Issues

Well if any of you are from the Houston area you will know about the wonderful stormy night we had back in April?! That night my car was flooded outside of my mothers house that night. So, for the past 2 months now I've been looking for a used car to buy and have NOT had ANY luck! I know the right car will come along but I just can't stand depending on people to go places. I did sell my old car today for $275.00... not much but hey the car does not run and nothing works in it! So I was able to jump my budget from 2,500 to 2,750... hopefully that will make SOME difference.



I know must of you read Kelly's blog about her life w/ sweet little Harper. Well, I sent her a comment about a little girl named Layla. THANK YOU KELLY FOR PUTTING HER ON THE PRAYER BOARD!

Layla was readmitted to the hospital yesterday for her second round of chemo. However, as they were waiting to be admitted Layla started shaking and spiked a fever of 103. Thankfully they were at the hospital and were able to get started on antibiotics right away. It was discovered that although the infection has cleared up from where her chest tube was, she now has a blood infection. She cannot start chemo again until this infection is cleared up. We are all sure that Layla will kick this soon and will be back on track with her treatment!!

In the mean time, visitors at the hospital are being discouraged. But you can still send meals if you wish. There is a new update on Layla’s carepage if you wish to read it. http://www.carepages.com/carepages/LaylaGrace

I never thought I would be one to be a blogger but I have found myself reading and noting a lot so I thought why not?! I received a email a few months ago about a baby named Harper. I started reading Kellys blogs about sweet Harper and have enjoyed watching her grow and continue to be healthy. PTL!

I have started to read other blogs and note so . . . here I am!

I will give you a little insight about me:

I have included a picture of me. This was taking in April 09 at my bday dinner at PF Changs with my best friend. I'm on the left.

My name is Jami, I'm 23 years old and live in Houston, TX. I'm currently go to college at UTMB. (Univ. of Texas Medical Branch) to be a NICU nurse. I hope to one day see a miracle like miss Harper. I really enjoy being with my family and friends, shopping and taking long walks or drives. I'm a very easy person to get along with and I just enjoy life and having fun and making memories!

I hope to blog often but I can't promise it will be a weekly thing. I look forward to meeting new people and getting to know others more!
